Electrical Supervisor

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the electrical maintenance team, including electricians and instrumentation technicians.
Monitor and maintain the integrity of the plant's electrical distribution systems, including power supply, cabling, earthing, and protection systems.
Diagnose electrical faults, lead troubleshooting efforts, and coordinate timely repairs to minimize unplanned downtime.
Conduct routine inspections and audits of electrical installations and equipment to identify risks and ensure compliance with applicable standards.
Maintain accurate electrical maintenance records, work orders, inspection reports, and equipment history logs.
Monitor and manage electrical spare parts inventory; coordinate with the Maintenance & Material Manager on procurement requirements.
Ensure compliance with all HSE requirements, PPE standards, and plant safety regulations at all times.
Participate in toolbox talks, safety briefings, incident investigations, and HSE training sessions.
Train, mentor, and evaluate the performance of electrical team members.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on electrical equipment performance, maintenance activities, and downtime incidents for management review.
Respond promptly to electrical emergencies and breakdowns, providing technical direction and hands-on support as required.

Qualifications & Requirements

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Prior experience in mining, coal processing, or heavy industrial plant operations is strongly preferred.
Good command of English (spoken and written).
Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
