Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for all maintenance disciplines (mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation) across JIG, HMC1, and HMC2.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve the site maintenance management system, including preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs.
  • Oversee the management of spare parts inventory, materials procurement, and warehouse operations to ensure the availability of critical components.
  • Coordinate with the Processing Manager and Head of Operations to schedule planned maintenance activities with minimal impact on plant production.
  • Manage the Maintenance & Material Department budget, including cost control, forecasting, and capital expenditure planning.
  • Lead and develop the maintenance and materials teams, including performance management, training, and succession planning.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with HSE requirements, equipment manufacturer standards, and applicable regulations.
  • Review and approve maintenance plans, work orders, method statements, and contractor management plans.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant reliability, maintenance efficiency, and cost effectiveness.
  • Prepare and present maintenance performance reports to the DMD O&M.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5-10 years of maintenance experience in a heavy industrial or mining environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems in coal processing or mineral processing plants.
  • Sound understanding of spare parts management, materials procurement, and inventory control.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to work in a remote site environment and lead multidisciplinary teams.
