Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for all coal processing activities across the JIG, HMC1 & 2 plants.
  • Develop and implement production strategies, operating plans, and processing targets in alignment with business objectives.
  • Oversee plant performance, product quality, and throughput to ensure coal specifications and offtake requirements are consistently met.
  • Lead and manage the Head of JIG & HMC1&2 Operations and all shift supervisors, operators, and support staff.
  • Coordinate with the Production Control, Maintenance and departments to optimize processing operations.
  • Ensure all processing activities comply with applicable HSE regulations, environmental permits, and company standards.
  • Oversee plant maintenance planning in coordination with the Maintenance & Material Manager to minimize downtime and maximize plant availability.
  • Manage the processing department budget, including cost control, resource allocation, and capital expenditure planning.
  • Lead the development of operating procedures, work instructions, and process control standards for all processing plants.
  • Prepare and present processing performance reports, KPI dashboards, and management briefings to the DMD O&M.
  • Drive a culture of safety, operational excellence, and continuous improvement within the Processing Department.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mineral Processing Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Metallurgy, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in coal or mineral processing operations.
  • Strong knowledge of coal quality management, yield optimization, and plant process control.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Sound knowledge of HSE regulations applicable to processing plant environments.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote site environment and manage multidisciplinary teams.
